We provide truly personalised
midwifery care in the comfort of your own home
Throughout your care, we will help
you source unbiased information and will support you in the choices you
make. We form an equal partnership with you, offering professional advice,
friendly support and prompt referral to other health care specialist, if
required. You tell us of your needs, desires and concerns and we will help
you achieve your aims.
An initial consultation is advisable
and can be done either over the telephone or for a small fee at your home.
Our care consists of the
following...
Before the birth, we will:
• give advice and information on all
aspects of pregnancy, birth and parenting .
• provide home-based antenatal care,
enabling us to get to know each other.
• help you explore your options.
• arrange ultrasound scans and other
tests if necessary.
• liaise with other professionals
whom you want involved in your maternity care.
During labour:
• We care and support you during
your labour and first hours of your baby's life.
• In the event of a transfer to
hospital, we will stay with you, giving support and information and acting
as your advocate.
After the birth:
• We visit regularly, by
arrangement, for up to 6 weeks.
• We provide support and advice on
feeding and all aspects of parenting.
We arrange or carry out the
screening tests that you want for your baby.
• We fully believe in natural
nurturing but will equally support you, if, for whatever reason
suckling/breastfeeding is not right for you.
Extras for NHS booked women
We can also provide individual
services for women who are not booked for full care with our midwifery
practice, such as:

labour options and birth plans

to discuss what happened with a neutral third-party
• post-natal support and advice - a
top-up to current NHS service provision

• Baby wearing and nappy demos – we
have a selection of different slings and washable nappies and can show you
what to do with them.
